Use the multimeter on olhms, same as a test light but cheaper to buy a multimeter which does every thing and more, you wont regret it, and wonder how you ever lived with out one.

Well... I sent the gauges and wiring away to the instrument shop about a week and a half ago and there has been nothing done on them at all.. They say mine is next in line, but they have a batch of chrome bezels (about 60..) that need to be rechromed before my stuff gets done..
Cheers,
Matt

I finally got a call back from the instrument shop. They said:

- Clock is not working (but they don't know why..) ($103)
- Speedo is out of calibration and a piece needs to be replaced ($75+)
- Fuel/oil/temp/battery guage is fine, just needs a clean ($60)
- Tacho needs to have the switchboard changed to suit the electronic ignition ($180)
- Few light bulbs that need replacing ($12+)..

And they said that they only come with 3 months warranty. I think that is absolute crap considering you would be spending almost $500 with them..

I called them back and organised for them to just do the speedo, and supply the light bulbs. The clock is fine, I'll just fit that up and get it repaired later. The quad guage should be fine, and the tacho I know works on electronic ignition cars without the switch board being changed.

I am still trying to work out where those red wires (from the quad guage) go.. I have been looking and trying to work out where they go, but they are not on the HZ wiring diagrams..

Hey buck do you have the red wires in your dash on the fuel/oil/temp/battery guage?? If you do, would you mind having a quick look for me to see where they go??
Cheers,
Matt

I sent a PM a couple of weeks ago and wondered why i hadn't heard from you.
Didn't realise my sent items box was full so my apologies on that.
Do you have a pic of the back of the gauges, because something tells me, that there is a red wire going from the top 2 gauges down to the bottom 2 gauges?
BO6 = Rarer then a Sandman

I never received the PM.. lol

Umm, I will have a look and see if I have a picture. I don't have the gauges at the moment, they are still at the shop.. I am pretty sure that there are 2 spots for red wires up on the top 2 gauges and 1 on the bottom gauges.. lol Thats about all I can remember.. hahaha

--- Updated ---

Had a look and in the only pic that I have it looks like there is 2 on the bottom gauges and there is one on the bottom lfet hand gauge..
Cheers,
Matt
