I hope the budget allowed for chrome tips on the exhaust
its so perfect it looks like a matchbox model!!!
BQZ
I drove it to the exhaust place yesterday, and they ordered two for me which come in today, I expected them to have some in stock, today they will fit them. We also have a tappet cover gasket leak which will also be sorted today, and yes the interior is buckskin, but the dash is a two tone colour for some reason....

thanks Vombil for your nice comment, and everyone else who said nice things about this van, it took a while but now she is finished, and we are very pleased....it was a lot less money and time as no rust, and a shed find all intact...unlike the yellow van...
HZ Jasmine Yellow Windowless Sandman, now being driven everywhere and is finished!
HZ Madeira Red Windowless sandman now Sold to Bigrob
HX Mandarin Red Sandman Ute finished, and club registered
1979 HZ malachite windowless van with 308 5spd, all chromed up and shiny finished and named "The Player"
Married to RodneyHZ253
It is normal in HZ for 11C, 23C, 63C and 63V to have a different colour dashpad to the rest of the trim. 63C/V should have a tan pad. 60A and 65A in HX are the same.
I think there is a HUGE lesson in Rod and Jennie's Madiera HZ Sandman for everyone. Sell off the rusty pieces of cr@p to people who pay too much for them, and invest the return plus shalf your resto budget into one with a good body. It is worth it in the end. If you are lucky you'll buy one that doesn't even need paint!
All finished
Cheers J and R
