I also doubt the pedal height to brake pedal theory. The clutch pedal is set at 188.0 + or - 2.5mm from the floor pan without carpet or the rubber pad on the pedal. This is from the Holden WB series service manual. It is set with no relation to the brake pedal height.
If you want an accurate service manual, buy the HQ series and then buy the WB supplement and you will have all the info you need. It has proper exploded drawings and tech info written by Holden, not 50th hand inaccurate info.
Pics would be good, but the WB parts manual shows that it has nothing there and the cable just hooks over.. Thats very interesting about the height of the clutch pedal.. I would have never knew that at all and just did the same think buck did..

I will try and get some of those books, they will come in handy when I have more problems like this..
