I have attempted to paint my dash and am not happy with the results..
I want to start again so I will strip the paint and start again using this caustic soda method.
Question is how will it affect the brake warning light lenses ..?
Should I remove these ?
If so , it looks like I will have to break the plastic welds that hold them in from the back..
And ....Absinth, Sean if you read this ....I had some paint mixed up from Hammond's paints.
They could make up the Portland grey but have had trouble with the suede black
They made up 04149 GMH black and said they this will supersede the 06912 suede
However I think the 04149 is a semi gloss.
Could you help out with the formula or something please?
I have a can of flat black and some matt black acrylic I could probably use ..
