A HJ Sandman came standard with 173, M22 and 4 wheel drums, HJ Kingswood Sandman came with 202, M20 and discs. Prior to 10/75 they were all built the same unless they were optioned up. Prior to 10/75 probably the most common non-mandatory options were L32, L31 and XW6 or XX1 (metallic paint group 1 or 2). After 10/75 XX7 probably became the most common option, even more common than L31 and L32. After about 3/76 L20 (202), M20 and JL2 (front discs) became standard on all HJ except tonner.

With L31 and L32 came some mandatory options as well, but this was across the board not just Sandman. Examples: Salisbury diff (GU4 with L32, GV4 with L31), M21 with L31, different exhaust (from memory 1 7/8" single), heavier front springs, JL2 (discs), different shocks etc.
