If on the lettering of verification from Holden it says Production Build Date. Does that mean started or finished? EG 17th October 1978. Thanks

Completed. This is the build date in the Service/Warranty records. It is the day the car was finished. In some rare cases this can be many months after the build date on the ADR plate. My HJ Premier had its ADR plate affixed as 11/74 build but the records state 2/75. It was waiting for something to complete it. To date our best guess is either the 2.78:1 LSD centre or an L31 TH pattern 308 without 11 in front of the engine number. There are a few LS's around the same time from Pagewood that had the same thing happen to them.
