    HQ Ute Value

    Hi ,

Can anyone tell me what they think a hq 6 cylinder sandman ute in fair to good condition would be worth? I know that every one is chasing V8s on here and no one seems to talk about the 6s too much, are they even a desirable sandman at all?

If it HQ sandman rare, ute rarer,I don't think that a person that was after a HQ sandman ute would care that it was a 6 it may ever add to it especially if it the original motor and matching number vehicle
As far as value I would like to commit

I don't think I have ever seen a HQ sandman ute in person .
if you have it for sale I'm sure Qset and QUP would give there left ear to own a HQ sandman ute because that about all that they don't own in this model
You could even spark my interest

Yes I say alot of things that cause issues in future but you have to be out there
I know that I have to get on to majestic van site when i get time and give that zodiac (rob) a bit of a sharping up in relation to his wb van
Wouldn't a hq sandman ute be a bit of a holy grail
And to quote a guy I meet last week end for $5k it wouldn't matter if was painted in flat black with a paint brush and had trolley wheels as long as it was all there

Put some photos up. Original engine? - probably not a drama. I'd just put a V8 in it anyway? Drums or discs? (much bigger change from original that a V8 believe it ir not).

If it is in OK condition and complete it'd have to pull in the range of $5k-$15k, all dependant upon what it needed to be done to it. Broad range I know but without any more details it is very hard to tell.

Just sniffing around looking at one that may be,so I have still got to do some more research on it yet. Are the paint codes section on the Forum going to be available again at all to the general members, they were really handy. Im sure I will be back with some more stupid questions for you on this ute!

Just email me with ID details and we'll see what you have found. Hopefully it is a Kingswood too not a Belmont.
