I just noticed this on Fleabay for Sale, I was thinking about fitting Gilmer drive to my wb , Not any more though, Talk about over the top.

"Unfortunately Got pulled over by the EPA and they defected the following ........ I just havent got the time or the money to do the job (on a brighter note this would be street legal in any other state but NSW )

Reconnect Emission Control Devices
Rectify increased noise from Engine Pulleys & Belt (Gilmer Drive)
Rectify Engine Crankcase venting to atmosphere
Refit and Reconnect EGR valve
Refit & Reconnect Emission Control- Vacuum Switches
Refit Hot Air Inlet Tube

I was going to do the engine bay in the malachite van simliar to that it a worry

I did notice the quad pipes out the back, but no mention of exhaust note being to loud, just the gilmer drive.

when i was a P-plater i got stung doing a burnout in my HJ 350 Ute. negotiated my way out a reckless driving charge or defect notice and into a $50 fine for bald tyres! ive found cops are generally OK if you dont try to be smart

Have heard of young fellas in B&S utes getting hammered like that and worse. Even when they get engineers certificates for those over the top bull bars they still ping them etc. I suppose if you stand out you stand out to everyone.
As for the missing pollution gear, you have to expect to have dramas for that, whether its from the police, RTA or at pink slip time.

I must admit i thought they where giving the older cars a rest and going more for the rice burners at the moment, but i spose if your doing the wrong thing you will always attract attention.
But still suprised a gilmer belt would be to noisy? and thank good my wb still has all the pollution gear there and intact.
