Bare metalled the LH front guard for the ute today with paint stripper. Thought around 2.5-3 hours would have knocked it over so didn't start until 11am after an easy morning. Should have just used a sanding disc to rip the 5+ layers of paint that it had accumulated in its previous life ("lives" I guess, the top 3 coats were part of the flame job the donor ute had) before I got hold of it. At least there is next to no rust or any major dents in this one, not a big repair anyway. Glad it is done and glad I got it into etch primer before the rain got here just on dark. Test fit it tomorrow, see how that goes....
    Nunc est bibendum...

yeah im thinking i might try stealth it over to the other place and give her a blast with the bigger mig, took over last weekend to pump up a doey tyre, didnt make it, made it onto the dirt and about 800m from the workshop and broke the bead, i then got impatient and well you can guess the rest , didnt have a spare :(

Well, because its raining here not much is gonna happen to the car.. So am spending most of the weekend organising and buying car parts for the ute.. I now have a small list of 'things to do' as well.. lol

I'm going to try and spend a bit of time on the GTS fascia, and get a bit more done on it.. Then the rest will probably be spent studying..
    Cheers,
    Matt

Took both vans to Rodney and our kids former primary school for a display at fete, despite rain still good turnout. Qset came over to borrow acro props for their shed resto- see previous posts on this thread, he and Rodney cruised about in their lovely old hq ute, ending up at a friends place who has 40 tractors, andl loads of spares 3 hours later, stato sill strips for us, and bike side covers which were the missing integral part of a bike resto for Qset they came back grinning, and well pleased with themselves. Tea and drinks and they left this morning, and we went and loaded three fergie tractors on a trailer and truck ready for cobar to Louth run on the long w.e.

The girls got the Panno for the week!! We did a road trip today to Hilston. As always got lots of comments when pulled up and lots of random waves on the road. Will post pic tomorrow. Needless to say Tess was most impressed with sitting up front in the Panno
