Peter Brock rarely had anything to do with mechanicals in cars until VC, so if there were any modded aussie 4spd's it'd be during the HDT era so VC-VK.
I have a m21 im told was from a VK brock. Got it with some crap from a bloke locally. He said he removed it from his vk brock. How do I tell if its a genuine HDT? and what if anything is different about them anyway?
I don't think they are different.
Jason I am not sure if they are different or not either but I would be very interested in the date code and serial number from the casing
if it is from that time frame.
There are pictures here

That show where they both are if you have never seen them before.
Cheers Paul.
late edit I have just checked the 1989 HDT parts catalog and it says nothing about the Aussie 4spds at all.
They did kits for the T5 and Getrag,s but that,s it.

No worries Paul. send me a PM if I happen to forget and I will get them for you next time I am out the shed.
I have a gearbox coming that is alleged that this was the case. I will let you know what's on the box.
Thanks I appreciate it.
Cheers Paul.
