Tags alone aren't really a definitive way to tell on HJ's unless it's a Brisbane build. It'll be all the other little things that decide it. Byron must be on holiday's tonight, but I'm sure he'll pop his expert head in here pretty soon.

    Hi blownbudget.

Post the rest of the tag details if possible. Im assuming its an early HJ Panel Van pre-9/75 and as such it is similar to a HQ to identify. The HJ PV should be a base model with at least the correct console mounts on the floor. Part of the identification is with the rear headlining fixtures which were unique to a HJ. Take some photos of the rear of the van and look in the glovebox for the tyre placard and note the number at the bottom.

Welcome and hope you have found your Sandman. :-)

A HJ van with full headlining will spell Sandman almost very time. I'd be very surprised if it isn't.

I already have most of this car recorded. Just missing the BODY number, PSN (last half of the VIN) and axle code. No idea where it came from originally.

there are the numbers guys, after a bit of research today were pretty certain that shes genuine, but does it have to have the xx7 or the xu3 or is that only the ones made in brissy?

It is an XX7, no XU3 in 5/75. And only Acacia Rdge have the vehicle package code stamped. Notice the lack of ADR27? This is one of the reasons HJ commercials are so good. SBC, BBC, whatever you like, here you come!

pretty good chance, needs body inspection for headlining and factory console brackets as stated. Absinth yellow was a common commercial colour too, ..
GTS guards? these cars are 35 years old now so that means nothing really. but yeah , it should have GTS guards from factory.

, need to id body features to confirm.
