And pay as per progress, that way the tradesman is happy , and still has motivation to continue, and the customer gets to see what he's paying for.

I'd love to know the STORY behind the original disappearance of the car, I can only assume this dirt bag has told the couple that it was stolen to get out of actually ding the work he was paid to do!
