would have to agree with HZSandman mine is the same, no good with larger hole as the clear plastic holds the knob bit in, had it out the other day slight crack in mine, used a bit of loctite prisim gel to repair it, cant see it now.

Hi all, I unfortunately bought the same wrongly-sized part..went to my rare spares dealer and told them about it, they are contacting the head office to (hopefully) correct the issue.
Will have to wait and see, but yes the part is useless as is. I guess you could glue the knob to its shaft but I don't want to do that, the flange is there for a reason.
