ya know somethin....over the years ive kept all the butchered gts fascias unless they were really past it...i must count how many are there?

looks like it may have paid off as rares has upped the price on theres to a tad over 200 bucks...cheeky buggers..:shifty:

After looking at the dash pictures, I was wondering if the HX/HZ used a fascia plate around the AM Radio, similiar to that used in the LX Torana.
It was used to finish off the area around the radio slot after they had cut it out..



Apparently there is something listed in the HX and HZ catalogues as
Escutcheon Radio, Pt No:VS13164

Going by this 1976 road test of a HX Sandman it appears the escutcheon was used. How much are yours? My HX catalogue says they were black though..

Yeah, the same one in the LX's were Black, Wood grain or Silver..

they are $30 plus $2.50 postage.

You could cover up some pretty shonky radio cut outs with one of those as well. Think I might have to get one of each... silver and black.

I only make em in Silver.. you will have to paint it black, if thats what you want..
