    Teak Decal repair

    The Dash looks great!
    What about the black unpainted parts of the surround? repaint or just a good clean?

    I have a great GTS wood grain dash but some bugger has enlarged the radio hole and put in an extra hole in the same panel..

    Anyway has anyone used any aftermarket decals and how close are they to the original print thats on the dashes? for instance if i were to repair a section will an aftermarket decal look the same or are they on a vinyl?

    Some dash repair places use templates of the hacked sections and can cut and replace the section.

    I've just sent my dash, fascia and other trim items in to get redone. I'm looking forward to the results, but not the bank balance.

    dash original?

    where have you sent your dash?
    Anywhere in adelaide? Did you get an estimate/quote on price. Also do you have before photos for comparison to the finished product?

    These are the two I have, one being the donor the other is the original;

    As you can see the radio section has been cut, and (you cannot see) middle air vent was cut for a gas fuel meter.

    More info in the blog section.

    Not originally black, with a close look you can see some scuff marks and traces of silver that was removed.

    The part number on your fascia says it was originally black....
