I was getting a pink slip for the HX today and saw this pulling up some poor bugger on green P's. I think that there are fR two many highway patrols on our roads and now they are being completely sneaky. I wish they would concentrate in the drugged up twits who deal ice and the kids who go nuts on it far more dangerous than doing 5kms over the speed limit.

The only way you know it's a police car is the lights that come on and the uniform

Couldn't agree more. Serious crime should be the focus for law enforcement, not infringements! The only car related crimes worth dealing with are reckless driving, seriously drink/drug driving, hit and runs, or being caught owning a VN Commodore or AU Falcon because you love the shape of them!!!!

Police in ute's are popular here also, quite a few unmarked vehicles getting around.

Pigs in Utes. Remember when Barry Unsworth put police in light aircraft to catch speeders on the Hume Highway in the 80's. We had pigs in space.

Policing is all about politics and income for State revenue. They make more money by targeting 5km+ drivers than busting up a drug ring or catching a violent offender. Looks good on their final year report and the politicians have something to sing about to the voters.
