These bull bars bring back some memories.
A mate of mine had one of those oversize 5 posters on his VU SS, he was travelling out west one evening when he smacked a big red roo fair in the middle of the bar.
The bar held up no worries, the only problem was when the roo got wedged under the front of the bull bar, lifting the front wheels of the ground and rendering his steering useless.
This sent him off the road into a paddock through a barb wire fence.

I have this bull bar on my ute never had an issue depending on what state cops are cracking down on 5 posters. Boomer bars in Toowoomba have been approved for compliance of the bar laws they make some nice bars

I picked this Tuff bar up cheap. It had been pretty well used. The mesh had a chain through it in a couple of places to (I assume) pull the vehicle out of a bog or accident recovery. The strap was bent in a couple of places from the chain. Number plate bracket was destroyed as well. I cut out the upper mesh and replaced it. The lower mesh I cut out but havnt found the correct mesh yet to replace it. Lots of heating and straightening on the strap but the bar itself is straight.
I just fitted to make sure it's going to fit properly. All up with a new mounting kit it's cost me $1500. A new one is close to $6000. Just have to cut the bumper now to fit.

Sweet deal on the bar James. What is special about the mesh?

It's not expanded. It must be pressed or later cut? I can get it but being in the country it's about $100 just for the freight to get it to Dubbo. I found an off-cut of the bigger stuff at a welding works.
