As above, blank on a HQ Belmont van means 173 or 253, in this case being a V8 Belmont it is a 253 4spd with 3.08:1 diff. Nice find. Only a 253 but still an awesome Sandman to have ie HQ V8 XX7 in chrome yellow!
Bugger, just went to record it and I already have it recorded!
GNW, HQ 253 is 3.08:1 standard. 308 comes with 3.36:1, this is why almost all HQ L31 Sandmans are plated L31 M21 GV2, although the odd one will have L31 M21 and <blank> as it has an optional 3.08:1 diff (with L31 engine) which becomes blank as the standard diff for a V8 HQ Belmont is 3.08:1. I've never recorded a HQ with L31 and blank rraxle though.
