I haven't driven it yet, but the purchase is subject to view and drive, which we will do this weekend. I won't see it before probably February, and if I didn't jump in now i'd be waiting for up to 12 months. Toyota are only getting 1800 in the next 12 months, Subaru only 200. So each dealer gets 2 or 3 initially and then one a month over the next 12 months. The dealer I paid a deposit at had already sold 7 before today, 5 of them yesterday. Two blokes came in whilst I was there to pay deposits! All want GTS manuals, so I may be able to get one quicker as I want the auto. No wonder they are selling so quickly, at under $40k drive away for a GTS manual, or under $35k for the GT manual this is a top spec Japanese made sportscar with no real peers - priced like a Corolla. The insurance for my mrs and me was only about $700pa and only about $1300 for a full 6 year factory warranty, which i'll wrap up into the lease. It has a Fujitsu Ten sat-nav unit which I want to see if I can hook up a reversing camera to - the other Toyotas have the same unit and have one.

Gaddy, that is the colour I picked, but we will choose between it and the silver this weekend. I like the silver, mrs likes the Grey and it'll be her car to drive.

It'll be interesting to see how these develop over time. The RX7 started out as a lightweight sports car and ended up a luxury, heavy barge. These are 15mm lower roof height than the CV8, about 300mm shorter and a liitle narrower, so easier to park and fit in the garage too!
