I was down there talking to Paul today and they are out of stock for door rubbers but are expecting a delivery of material next week.
Jason, I asked a while ago if they would be doing complete kits and was told yes. I don't know if they are available yet but they do have the bailey channel, inner and outer door window seals (these are excellent and have far better metal clips on them than the Rares ones), Panelvan upper and lower tailgate seals that I know of.
Mick, are the Torana hatch rear quarter window seals pinchweld with the rubber seal on it? I sold my A9X hatch back in 1986 and don't have much recollection of it when it comes to how it was put together. (Actually I traded it on a Brock Director..Oh to be young and stupid again...)

SS good to see you guys giving it to the rare spares blokes and letting them know that they can't get away with producing crap and that other people can and will do it.
Yes mate
they are.. they are a black pinchweld with a seal on the outer edge.
The ones that RSP sell are so wrong!! I have known of some guys actually breaking that rear window when thay have tried to lock it closed!! It is scary, that's for sure..
Because I was already doing the Pinchweld, it was a no brainer to look at this..
As far as giving it to Rares, I am more dissappointed that Holden will not allow other manufacturers to be part of the Resto Parts Program..
And yes, it's about time that we all had good quality restoration products.. These cars deserve the best!!
cheers

Mick, Harrisons have had the pinchweld with rubber seal made and I saw some in black yesterday when I was down there. The rubber seal is very good and easily flattens against the pinchweld so I can't see it causing any problems with closing the window. Paul said it was $13 per metre and that 4 metres was required to do the two rear quarter hatchback windows.
It was apparently an exact copy of a Nos one he has but I didn't take a lot of notice of the pinchweld pattern. Might be worth getting some and trying it before you proceed with yours. Paul told me his rubbers were being made by Bridgestone.

pauls full of.....................................![]()
I do get that impression a bit when I talk to him.
He certainly sprukes on about how great his parts are compared to Rares..... However I have got his door rubbers and they are much better than the Rares ones..Can't comment from experience on any of the other stuff he has though but will probably get the rest of my rubbers from them.... at least until I get a shitty one.

Thanks for the info,
did you notice if the pinchweld had the grain in it like the normal Holden Pinchweld?
I am too far into making these now, and I just wish that there was more info about what others are making.. It is something that I have spoken the AMCP and others about so we don't double up.
I know that with the rear quarter seals that I am making, they won't be sold by the meter as the will be sealed like the originals were.
cheers
Mick
