The issue is truth in advertising, not that the car is a fake or re-body. From the way I understand it, the fake is fine. It just cannot be advertised as genuine. So take it to a car show, bonnet up, For Sale sign. Say nothing. Then you are OK, and are covered just in case your car isn't as genuine as you think.
