Thread: Early HZ Sandman??

    I think it will have been one. It is a factory 4spd body, and I think I can just see evidence if where the front mount was for the console, plus where the rear mount was. May even be grinder cut-off wheel marks where they've cut through the welds on the rear one. Being a HZ Holden van and having a full headlining means it really has to be a Sandman, it'll be an XU3 though.

    I just got very excited when I recorded this. It is one of a consecutive set of VIN/PSN's I have recorded now:

    8M70RHL398785Z
    8M70RHL398786Z
    8M70THL398787Z

    They are not consecutive cars on the line as chassis numbers aren't consecutive (26, 49 and 97) but they entered the rolling schedule as consecutive cars! All different colours and trim too, which is probably why they aren't consecutive production.

    Yes very exciting indeed to have them as consecutive numbers. Coincidence or did one dealer submit an order for 3 and the paperwork came through together?
