^^^ not well. There a plenty of photos of cheap helmets cracked in two after a simple accident despite the Australian Standards label.

I found this place in Melbourne that has great discounts on some bike gear at the moment, hence the $200+ reduction on these TZ-X's.

I tried on heaps of other stuff and the only Jacket i've found comfortable is a Dririder Nordic hybrid, but hated all the pants. I think i'll just get some Draggin Kevlar camo cargo pants or jeans and wear some Draggin knee pads under them. Much more comfortable for the sort of riding I plan to do. There are some great deals on the DR560SE at the moment too. Been quoted as low as $6150 ex GST for a brand new 2011 stock (plus on roads).

    Bloody cheap for a DR.

I know what you mean about the pants. I tend to wear draggin jeans and take along a pair of lightweight ski pants to put over them if the weather gets chilly or wet. Dri-Rider 2 piece rain suit folds up pretty small too and blocks out most of the windchill factor as well as keeping you completely dry during a downpour.

Yes it is cheap, but I think i'm going to buy one locally which is a 4/2012 plate for $6450 ex GST and it still sits under the $6500 capital asset instant write-off for small business which starts on 1st July. The extra 12 months in build date is worth it for the $300 extra (the 2011 is a 7/2011 build). I'll buy it unregoed and resister it in a few weeks which becomes a running expense not a capital expense.

The intent is to use the bike as a commuter to places where I do work, so it'll be mostly a business expense. The odd bit of personal use here and there may occur, but not so much at this stage.

    I crack myself up.
