No worries, thanks. I spoke with a bloke in Adelaide as well, can't remember the name of the place but it starts with W.
I'm waiting to hear back from him then I'll make my mind up. Steve sounded very good.
Nah, I'm just driving around looking for someone with licence.

I did some googling today and ended up calling ultratune which is in the same group of factories as eastern and he said there are boxes everywhere but no-one there. I'm guessing that can only mean one thing, the rumours about them closing look like they might be true.

Hi, I am in the proccess of replacing a whole interior in a hq ute, Changing from chestnut to black, has anyone had experience with Pro Stitch they do sell some stuff on ebay but the products look good, they even do the dashes, If there work is good & more importantly there service, a one stop place for my interior would be great.
Dash original in SA does excellent work they did all the woodgrain panels in my mustang, but you need to be prepared to wait. I go to Harrissons every few years just to remind myself to stay away.
I have a local guy that does great work but getting the correct materials is the challenge.
    any recommendations would be appreciated.
    cheers Vic

Mcvdi I went to pro stitch and had a look there work looked pretty good and the price was reasonable personally for the hz door trims I wasn't quite happy with the way the chrome strip was install to the trim.this is not an issue with hq and hj trims .steve at cools trims does good work in penshurst he may be a little dearer and I think you will wait about 10 to 12 week for seat etc to be done .he doesn't do dash work to my knowledge
The best I have seen in relation to hz trims and the chrome strip was deffinatley eastern auto upholstery
    HZ jasmine yellow sandman van
HZ Madeira red sandman van (now sold to bigrob)
    HX mandarin red sandman ute
    HZ malachite green sandman van

    UPDATE

Okay whilst at the all holden day, I spoke to someone who ended up being at our motel, he is only a block away from Eastern auto upholstery. He can source anything anybody needs from them direct, you just have to go through him, so you will receive goods in a sensible time frame. PM me and I will give you his contact details. Eastern are still going, but the owner and his wife are going through a very messy divorce, which is very complicated. He hasn't been answering his phone but may start to soon, but I think it would be quicker to go through my friend Phil...
