Rear seats in WB Van

We are in Qld and have a WB van, we want to put rear bench seat in it (damn kids). Does anyone have any ideas etc?

This is of no help, but my parents had a grey mini van and put a seat in the back of it, and a window... for me about 46 years ago......so vans must have been instilled into me when I was born....

Have a look at the pictures Gas on put up of the Ambulances they had a seat in the back and one door...may give you ideas....and their would be engineering for RTA (Whatever QLD equivalent) somewhere in the archives of GMH holden

You must have a minimum 70mm X 70mm X 2mm steel washer under the floor that the seat mount bolt goes through, same for seatbelt mounts. Check with your local engineering certifier but I'm pretty sure lap seatbelts are still allowed. You then need it to be certified by your engineering place and have a modification plate fitted, then present it to your local rego office to have the details updated.

Pretty easy really.

I was told that it was out of a TR Magna, But it has been in there when i got it. :D

Agro, was your seat done in Qld.
I spoke to an engineer that does some plates up my way and he said that I have to have rear windows to be able to legally put seats in..
Maybe I can find another engineer.. any ideas?

It was done in NSW and fortunatly my HZ has side windows anyway. :D

Find another engineer..... There is a guy down my way with a windowless HG van who has a fold down rear seat out of a HG wagon in the back and it is legally registered with a mod plate.
