THERES A MASSIVE THREAD ABOUT THIS ON THE gmh-TORANA FORUMS AT THE MOMENT. GENERAL CONSENSUS oops. General concensus is that all the HDT cars are accounted for, and the plates dont belong to this car, and also that the little hole at the top is from where the tag was used as a keyring.....

Or screwed to a toolbox or something. That pic is on about 5 different pages on Facebook, all with wrong info posted on it.

The tag is also on the drivers side for some reason.

Seem's like you hit the nail on the head James. Sort of a shame in a way, would have been an incredible find if it were the real deal.
