My understanding is that the HJ-WB have a plastic wedge at the front bottom corner of the door. and HQ has the little plastic triangle at the top front corner of the frame that the baley channel goes through..
BTW. I have never owned a complete car, only 4 in various stages of completness...
So any help is greatly appreciated.
HQ have the wedge at the top front corner of the window frame... I don't know what the plastic wedge at the bottom front door corner is you are talking about.

i cant remember if its visible or not but on the later doors there is a little plastic triangle that sits between the door frame and the metal door runner channel. the rubber channel guide sits over it.

thanks it just looked like the one I posted from blast from the past...it was a Belmont....and that colour the brighter yellow, like our yellow van.....Absinth maybe....anyways it didnt' have a roofrack...his was not a sandman either...most of the vans my friends had were not sandmans or if they were didn't have decals on them....never looked at the id plates as wasn't really an issue in those days...lol.....
very early hq doors are missing the recess in the inner skin to take the hj on front runner....so you have already fixed that problem by welding a bit in from a later panel....
the only differences between all the h series doors are..
hq front doors had a different glass and front channel and on some a different pressing on the inner skin..hq really early like 1971 also had electric window only doors..rarely seen but they are out there.. little wedge thing is up in the top corner..
hj through to wb doors all take the same glass and internals...they have there little wedge thing down in the front corner..
late hz and wb doors have a different looking outer door handle..
all commercial vehicles right up to wb in 1984 do not have side intrusion bars regardless of adr bringing side impact protection in around 76/77...the adr was for passenger vehicles and utes and vans are commercial vehicles...so no side protection.
wb statesman manual regulator doors are ok but caprice doors have electrics and a big speaker hole where the manual window handle should go....they also have intrusion bars.
