M - means Commercial vehicle - (e.g. not a Kingswood) which is a prerequisite for HX to HZ
2 Seat capacity - another prerequisite for a Sandman
18V Trim - on a HX commercial vehicle like above with the other Sandman features indicate a Sandman, because the standard commercial would be 19V trim.
1950kg - Being a commercial van but has been reduced to a lower GVW to suit passenger tyres.
So this information indicate it is a Sandman, hope that helps.
***Before you lay out big bucks****
Make sure the chassis is original to the plates and body.
Chassis number should be HX201340A
thanks i was getting told by a tool it was monk up i will go with full resto

no chassis is AHX 01180 M
Blocker, chassis number on that car is actually AHZ01180M! I have the car recorded as a Sandman. Jeff, can you please confirm that the rear axle code is GU4? I have it recorded as GU4 which is not common on an L31 M21 car, normally they are GV4. The fact youhave put up GU4 also tells me it is. Would be a pig to drive with an M21 and 3.08:1 diff with ER70H14 tyres!
Just because the ID plates say Sandman, doesn't necessarily mean it still is one. The body may have been replaced with another incorrect body.
YES 100%GU4 tyre placard to hard to see 9942###
Cool, thanks for that. Placard doesn't mean much in HX. It'll be 9942990.
