Thread: radio antenna on HZ

    This is another untouched original... antenna is as stated earlier..

    HJ XX7- L31-M21 sandman windowless
    HZ XX7- L31-M41 sandman ute
    1955 Chevy Belair
    1972 Hq Statesman original Wedgwood with black vinyl roof
    1956/9 Custom Pro street Pickup .. Blown 407 suicide doors tilt front ..
    1956 210 sedan
    1982 Wb windowless Panelvan ..
    1970 Ht Kingswood original 186

    thanks for posting that vanman, my next question was the style of mounting, whether they were straight up and down or ones that were on a ball that you could angle backwards?

    From the two pics posted i guess they were just the simple straight up and down ones, with the angular type saved for roof mounting.

    centre roof mounted aerials were an aftermarket item but you could order anything from your holden salesman so if you wanted centre type you got it...

    gaurd mounted aerial was only with the radio..no radio no aerial....gaurd mounted aerial is on a ball and can be adjusted to tilt back slightly..

    if you are after a factory correct aerial get jenny to take a picture of her knob....the one on the tip of the aerial..:errf:

    they are different to aftermarket...

    Knobs

    Here are a couple of pics of the Antenna to add to this there is a little two prong key which locks the arial down, it is still on the original set of keys.....so this is also factory I guess...and very funny Absinth.......

    that pic just proves how difficult it is to take a good picture of a knob....

    see what happens ya get all excited and tilt ya head wrong..

    and yes that is a correct aerial..
