Its easy.. 12v supply connected to the the two terminals (one is for the lamp other is for the clock) Ground is the body (or the body tab)..

Yes it's a bugger when bits are broken and you can't get replacements without robbing another gauge..... I am still trying to get the adjuster knob grub screw made as I have quite a few without them, have actually found a guy who says he can do them.... a pity Rare Spares were too half arsed to get them made... what good is a new knob without the grub screw to hold it on..... I replace both the electrolytic caps being careful to align the oscillator when replacing the PCB.
I have only found one that required a new Transistor, and one had a broken coil both these problems are fixable..
I Service and lubricate the clock Mechanism to ensure it is free moving
then bench test for 24hrs


I was thinking of Putting them on Ebay and offering a changeover service.. might be a good money spinner rather than just flogging them off..
