Thanks Gee, spoke with Oztrack yesterday who have also taken over Walkinshaw Performance at Penrith he quoted me #3900 but is going to get back to me on the price difference for a full stainless system, he feels changing diff gears no real advantage witha manual reckons I would be changing gears more often going from the 3.46:1 to the 3.91:1 but on the other hand the guys at Port Hacking Automotive reckon I would notice the difference down low but advised to get it done separate to the other work so you can see/feel the difference. Will do a bit more reseach on that one

That's interesting news I hadnt seen anywhere else - Oztrack has been copped a lot of flak over time for his lack of a workshop, dyno, etc. as well as the actual configuration of his tunes. Take with a grain of salt, tuner wars seem like a lot of BS sometimes. But if it was my car I'd be more comfortable at least hearing what one of the others suggested.

But for sure, Oztrack's been active in the LS scene for ages ... and no doubt his drag racing credentials with his own car (and a very quick VT/X before that) are great.

Diff gears....... I can vouch for that!! My tuner rekons that my car is the quickest he has ever had to change gears. Because its so short between changes. im running the 3.9

As for down low. Yes its also true. 1st for me off the lights is usless. Unless I want to sit on the spot spinning.....

So I guess what im saying is I dont think diff gears would be one of the first things I would do again... but in time I guess I would do it. Just not first up...
