    Classic Wiring Looms Mt Evelyn Vic

    Has any body had dealings with this guy (Ian).
    I sent the harness from my hq to him in April was quoted 6 weeks turn around, at the end of June I was told it was almost ready & it would be ready to post later that week, so because I work away I foolishly decided to pay for the Job that came in substantially more expensive than verbally quoted.( I know ). Thing is it is now October & I still don't have my loom. He has been promising me every 2 weeks it will be]in the post for the last 4 months. Until last week the comment was made that he had more important customers to take care of.
    Anyone else been in this position got some advice??

    thats absolute bullshit that a business can do that follow it up because he is a dog by the sounds of things
    you paid your money but no loom

    Do you have receipts of the transaction and emails/texts confirming the sale? You will need this as evidence if it gets ugly. Lets hope it doesnt come to that.

    Get some advice from a lawyer. Get the lawyers business card and give it to the fella you were dealing with. If this doesnt ring any alarm bells to him, then i would consider taking it further.

    Yes, I have proof of payment, I really hope it doesn't get ugly. It is really disappointing when people do not deliver. It can leave a sour taste in your mouth & spoil an otherwise great restoration experience.
    I'll keep the forum updated of the outcome.

    Just go straight to Consumer Affairs (or whatever it is called this week) Department of Fair Trading?
    If he is a business (legit) they will sort it super fast.

    An update on my dealings with this guy for those that are interested.
    Classic Wiring Looms no longer operate as a business, so no chance of anyone else of getting messed around by this guy.
    I got a refund of the money I paid & the under dash harness was returned, but my engine harness was not. Even though I got messed around for 8 months & lost my engine bay harness, I guess I am kind of lucky, now I need to find a replacement harness with firewall plug & get the whole lot off to vintage harnesses & start again.

    I'm glad it was resolved for you financially a real shame you are still missing your property though.

    What model harness do you need, I'm sure there's a few members here that can assist in finding the right one for you.

    Glad to hear you got your money back (usually the hardest thing to get back). Sorry to hear he ripped off your engine bay harness. Best of luck with the new bloke doing it. ( just don't pay till the job is done and you see the harness ) Once bitten twice shy.
