Windscreen moulding clips help

Cheers for info guys and I used the screws but I should have used these

Bugger ah well I guess I will put a dab of sikaflex around each one and hope for the best,then fix the rust again in a couple a years lol.i recon your right wbute that all the rust starts at the clips.
Problem being is you can only really put the mouldings on once and if you try take them off you scratch the paint so even if your just getting a window replaced chances are the windscreen dude will scratch it and then it will RUST.
It's a very bad design to start with the way leaves and water just sit in there.
All good tho I guess it took 30 years to get how it was

there is a tool to put under the stainless strip that lifts the clip up so you dont scratch the paint, and if you put a dab of grease or even vasoline on the clip before you press the stainless strip on you wont have to force it and damage the stainless .
