Alien,are these tarantulas really tarantulas or Australian Huntsman, I was of the opinion they didn't bite, and were certainly not poisonous...the male prob did a runner because it might have been afraid the female would eat it after mating....or is that another breed of spider...they are interesting none the less....

Sorry, didnt answer your question properly.....the spider that did the runner was comfortable in its shipping container and wasnt interested in moving into his new home.......so he did the old jailbreakHavent given him the chance of setting up a romantic dinner for two with the female yet!!!
