You must be getting old Byron. I did a engine removal and refit to do the rear main oil seal on my Hj Stato with none of that fancy stuff about 8 years ago. Did it in a 1 car garage with barely 40 cms either side of the car, using a crappy trolley jack, couple of jack stands and an engine crane. Managed to keep the AC and ps plumbed up. To be honest, I was kind of suprised at how quickly I managed to get it done considering I had no help at all and it was my first ever engine refit.

Of course, these days I'd just trailer it to a mates workshop and use one of his hoists, but that wasn't an option back then.
