Got the Quadrajet back from Hume Performance today. Restored and run on an engine. $335.40 inc freight back to me. It's assembly date code is 0094 so it is off a mid 1974 HQ. Exactly the same carby and carby code as a 1974 HJ, I just couldn't find one any closer. They charge $200 plus parts to restore it. The dearest parts were the kit at $42.90, a nitrophyl float at $30 and a 601 choke pull off at $22. You should have seen the ugly POS I took down there. Must have been sitting in someone's chook shed for 30 years!
