Some things to offer

I now have the capability to a few extra things on mySandman that have not been available until recently and wonder if it would be of any benefit to the community?

Private forums for groups like clubs etc.

• Share meeting info
• Share files / photos
• Create own topics and sub forums viewed by invited members only (no one else sees your forum)
• Moderate your own forums

mysandman emails.

• You could have a mysandman domain email address e.g. [email]hzute@MYSANDMAN .com.au
• mailbox configured to your email client - outlook, opera, eudora, hotmail etc.
• When you send an email it would be from [email]you@MYSANDMAN .com.au
• accessible from anywhere

Shop.

• A transaction shop where you can sell/buy from other members, give feedback and ratings on the items and the transaction etc.
• Item photo gallery

A few more little things as well, but I want to just put it out there and gauge if it would be useful.

Also if you have other ideas let me know.

I like the Shop idea. A few guitar forums i'm on have that option and its pretty useful. It doesnt get abused and keeps people honest...as far as ive known, no one has had any dramas.

Moderating your own threads/forums is helpful.....double posting by accident gets people off your back Blocker. Well i guess that depends on how needy you want to feel

Moderating own forums would only be allowed in the private section. We've got Mods for the main.

We would need to be cautious that private forums don't get abused and create cliques. I see them used for car club groups that can't afford or have the skill to create their own forums, we have a couple hidden forums on the site for the moderators and it works ok.

yeah the i reckon the shop and the email would be cool, i think it would good for the shop to have a minimum amount of posts before you can post in it, nothing stupid just enough to make sure there going to stick around, not like that bloke that came on and had heaps of good parts but was impossible to actually buy off and now disappeared

Yeah and take away the post counts for those contributing in them.
Then do away with the stupid "Achievements" rubbish.
