    Window lifter channel

    Can new repacement window lifter channels and & or rubbers for driver / passanger windows be purchased - My lifter channels are rusted but may be able to stop them from further damage but would like to replace them if posible.

    should be heaps of good second hand ones out there and the rubbers are available new from rare spares or any other auto rubber supplier . im sure there must be someone on here close by that would be able to help you

    I could only find - Window lifter channel - wagon t/gate (incl channel rubber) at SCOTT'S OLD AUTO RUBBER nothing that fit description at Rare spares or Betta Auto rubber
    I have looked at 4 second hand sets all have the same problem from bad to rusted out and the slides falling off.

    i think it might be called bailey channel rubber ,i will see what i can find . i thought the lifter channels were galv and i have never seen a rusty one so maybe i am thinking of something else ,can you put up a photo ?

    They are gal but still over time they rust through, not noticed untill it to late when the windows have trouble going up or when the glass is removed. I thought the bailey channels were the side channels on the door to window frame. As I had my ones out so I was hoping to stop the rot or replace tem before the inevitable happens.

    yep sorry my mistake are you talking about the channel that is attached to the glass ? maybe try a place that fits windscreens ,i think they use a high strength silicon now

    Most likely it will be a sika flex product!! But as mentioned earlier look for and ask a windscreen person !

    Sika flex, Cadia mine tails dam piping would not be the same without it lol. Good stuff.
