    This is probably no use to you but the biggest open cut coal mine in the southern hemisphere is starting in my home town(Dunedoo) which is an hour and a half from Parkes.

    Hey Absinth....If you would like to come and check out Parkes....look us up and we will show you about....we love living here...
    and if you have small children there are lots of good primary schools, and a high school, a private school, and a Catholic boarding/day student school in Forbes 1/2 hour

    Small world, we lived in Dunedoo back in 68-69. Dad was a right hand station manager for for a guy named Cook. I seem to recall sheep but I was very young and we also lived on stations at Meandarra SP? ...and Tara (southern Qld.) One of them was a sheep station, one was cattle and one was wheat and cattle.

    I didn't realise you were Builders Jennie, I read about Rodney having a scaffolding ticket in the red HZ thread so figured you were at least in the industry.

    That is the design of house we would like to build next, if we ever get around to it...saw a couple similar on Fraser at Kingfisher bay, we like to blend into the environment a bit if possible....that looks great...
