That's the bloody problem with this type of racing more rules/restrictions is always the answer. Use to be the superior car and driver could smash the rest and made a statement!

Anyway, I don't like it and that's just my opinion. But I can tell you if the dinner plate badges weren't allowed (and should they be?) the public support they do have would drop off.
Most people support a marque/brand and not necessarily a driver or team. Put the exact same cars out there with Kia, Skoda and Daihutsu skins with dinner plate badges and lets see the crowds.
I totally agree... back in the 70's there was a thing called "competition", and the manufacturers had to build a car that could win or they would lose.
Holden built the XU-1 to try to win Bathurst with a different strategy and things like that are what made the whole thing interesting.
This cry-baby equality rubbish isn't doing anyone any favors and has lost me...
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!

It's a wonder they all don't getting a trophy for turning up and participating.

I love watching the supercar masters series, love all the old cars that were around when i was a kid. And they don't baby them either. The new V8's are great too, just different from old. When you only win Bathurst by less than a second thats pretty special. Yes i go to Hidden valley when the V8's are here and love it. Been to Townsville as well, brilliant.

Yeah must be awesome to have built up a 4 lap lead after hours of racing only to have the safety car come out and have the nearest rival back on your bumper again!
How exciting for the fans. It's all BS skinned go carts (with dinner plate badging of coarse!) But if you love rules and restrictions and your into that sort of thing......

Hang on, wait for Gino he missed a gear!
