    I have found with a claim that if you pay per month insurance etc etc and you have a claim. the car is written off. You have to pay for the rest of the year. Even if you havent paid it yet. They take it out of your payout.

    most insurance companies will extend if there was contact on the phone prior to expiry..
    yes you will have to pay the next years policy if you are making a claim and also if you are paying by the month as its standard practice to take the rest of the policy payments for that year.
