Well done, you've grabbed close to the best Sandman you could possibly buy. In my eyes you'd only top it with a HQ Kingswood Sandman ute in L31 M40 LSD air steer and a nice metallic! Pretty tall order though - i'm dreaming and you have got that in your possession!

Thanks for all the kind replies , I know their will be a few arm chair critics out there who think that it was overpriced for what it was etc but I dont really care its my choice and my money, same arguement can be said about Monaros, Toranas and Falcons etc. I was offered a LJ Gtr Xu1 with 65,000 miles and last rego label 1982 for $50,000 it needed a lot of work and I didnt see the value in the end result considering you can pick up a retored one for around $80,000, the guy ended up getting $49,000 for it so it goes to show different people see different value in different things. I have bought something that is fairly rare and they certainly dont come for sale very often complete and in the condition that this one is in, as previously mentioned last one was probably Ozboxs which coincidently was same specs and it went for $20,000. I've know people to have paid $8,000 for rusted out shells basically just for the tags for a HQ. Looking forward to bringing it back to life but first up will finish off the HZ.
