She is a sweet HQ.
'74 Sandman should have orange front indicators though!
But the clear look way better...

My mate has one of the 150 1973 "Bathurst" XU-1's complete with its original engine (as listed on the microfiche and also listed on the Nasco bulletin) in Orchid with black trim. Unfortunately when he restored it he didn't like Orchid and painted in Lone Oranger (against my protests!). Great colour, i'm with you Mauser - but torn between Orchid, Saffron and Aquamarine.
I'm so smitten with HQs They are the king of vans
YEH that is the Gear!!!!!!!!!!! Top Colour, Thinking I might have to buy a Q to park beside my J....
HQ's are so darn cool, car's or the commercial brand.

That's my Van - The infamous stamped 3 seater XX7 Brisbane model. Trim code ends in B which I'm pretty sure means bucket, so it is almost certainly a mistake of GMH - either that or i've got a rare 3 seater sandman. Original 253 rebuilt, although was originally Burgundy (Yuk) Orchard was my favourite colour and the chances of getting hold of one were zero to none, so I went for the non original colour. Indicator lenses should be orange and the hounds tooth seat insert aren't original but totally suits the layout. Will get around to putting on the stripes one day, body still not perfect yet as I'm a fussy bugger.Pics were from the HQ run in Brisbane. Pics look great -Travis
