Probably lost to history.
Probably lost to history.
It sounds the wb production years was a confused mess.Holden don't even have detailed records
Between 1980,1985.Disapointing.Such great looking cars.
All service/warranty records from around 6/78 to the end of VL are gonski. So most of HZ, all WB Holden and Statesman and all pre VN Commodore and Calais. Plus some of UC Sunbird and Torana as well.
WB is well documented though, just no-one really gets very excited about them apart from the few HDT Magnums.
That van also has ute kings wood mouldings so has been changed along the line somewhere. Graphics were the "in" thing in the 90's too. So might have been done then.
When I brought the van it already had the side mouldings and decal, that was in 1993.The previous owner had it for six yrs and didn't modify anything. All the codes are there just unsure what they mean. This all new to me.Can' wait to start restoring. Its a part of my history as well.
I'd suggest take photos and see if any sign writers/sign makers etc can copy them. Other than that you'll never buy them new (NOS) now unless you were better than very lucky... Looking closer at them I think they look to have a fade from orange into yellow, might be better off to get a good custom painter to replicate/airbrush them for you. A check in the yellow pages in your area should uncover someone who might have the nous if you've got the time and $$$.

Dave.
Nunc est bibendum...
