Goat the old type roof rack fitted fine in th 80,s even on a sandman .they did mark the gutters slightly if you took then on and off a lot but weren't to bad if you fitted them with the rubber gutter protectors and left them on
In 1981 though to 1987 this set up was my was my pride and joy with the roo bar that I would put on whenever I travelled west
We still own the boat today and are going skiing tomorrow for a few days
