    HJ XX7 - Cloncurry

Looks like I have found a HJ Sandman and Im just starting to do all my homework.
Just want to double check on the dif. Was the GV7 standard.

    Details

    3/75 2200kg seat 2
    HJ8WM70 XX7
    1905 60V
    568 17342
    L31 M21 GV7

The van is about 1800km away so trying to get as much detail as possible.
I should be getting some more info tomorrow re original motor, vin and so on.

    Cheers

Nice.... Brisbane built jamaican lime wih chamois trim van with 308 manual Diff should be a salisbury.... 2200 gvm is correct for an early HJ, being an XX7 stamped tag you just need to make sure the chassis matches the compliance plate, and it has the full length headlining and you've hit the jackpot....

Ps.... Dont tell anyone where ou got it from until its in your garage

Standard diff is GV4. GV7 was performance option. Nice driveline and a 308 HJ to boot. Well done. Only problem is the awful original colour, easy changed though if you don't like it. Some love it.

Thanks guys. Starting to get a few more details and pic through.
Full length headlining looks like it in the pic.
Original chassis still there and a big possibility of original 308 ( yet to be confirmed )
HK, green hj would probably not be my first choice in Sandmans but I dont mind it.
If by any chance the van comes back as full matching numbers, I will keep it original. If not full matching, I dont know what way I will go.

Heres a few pics, Looks like it will need a bit of work.

Have seen pics of this one before quite some time ago. Not sure where it is but I was under the impression it was owned by a person who was "gunna" get around to it for quite some time and wasn't interested in parting with it. Congratulations if you can score it!

    Regards,

    Dave.

I cannot understand why the vehicle has to get to that stage before they wake up and decide to sell it.

wbute, do you have a link.

The guy who is selling it has no emotional ties to it and has asked me to make an offer.
Im getting as much details as possible so I can give him a price that suits me.
