There is every chance you have installed the fuel pump cam lever on the underside, meaning the pump isn't pumping. Remove the fuel line from the carby and crank it over and see if any petrol is pumping up the line. If you have had the needle out of the carby make sure it have been re-installed the right way around.

I had it running for ages last night, plus I gave it some decent revs, enough for the missus to complain. So it must be sparking and pumping...
