Now the next problem. The brakes! Tried bleeding and it has done nothing to help improve the situation! Foot to the floor all the time. When the car isn't running the brake pedal can be pumped to make it feel squishy, but this does not improve the feeling when running.

Any thoughts?

Btw the passenger side rear bleeding nipple has been snapped off. Does this really matter?
Nothing a new set of slave cylinders at a minimum would probably fix - while you're there have a good look at the master cylinder. Yes it does matter about the sheared bleed nipple, if you cannot get the air out you'll never get a pedal.
