Factory 308 TH400 - looks nice, probably won't last long. I do like green, Mint Julip I'd reckon!

lots of money to buy off ebay with such a brief description, no phone number and modified. Ive got a feeling it wont walk off the shelf. this time of year the greater population is broke from Christmas!

Does look like a nice van. $30k might be slightly too high as it has some mods and it is green. But if it is really as good as it looks, you like green and don't mind the few mods then you wouldn't built it for that sort of money. As a good restorer in that driveline it'd be worth close to $8k. By the time you bought all the bits, restored and painted it you'd be around or over $30k.
no rear shots and no passenger side shots.....
EVEN THE YOUNG GIRLS LOVE SANDMANS!
if this is still for sale in feb i will be over there to have a look, i didnt know HJs had M41 trans i thought they were all trimatic, having just spent a heap of money rebuilding my HQ coupe (and doing a lot of the work myself) this is well worth the money . might even buy one of his surf boards to go with it

HJ 308 was deemed too powerful for the trimatic in a W sized body, hence the swap to the TH400. HJ 308 was basically as quick as a HQ 350 with the same diff ratio. The TH400 was used for all 308 HJ to HZ until replaced by TH350 mid 1979.
anyone here buy this ?
I like the HJ Sandman in this shade of Green
With the Black Sandman stripes looks super and very '70's
