When you see those rear van phots it is obvious why I like the bumperettes better! Nice photos Blocker! Do you have more of that black van?
It is obvious when they haven't been fitted correctly for sure. Still, HQ bumperettes on HJ-X-Z and WB look completely wrong. They have nothing in common or style with the front bars.Originally Posted by HK1837

No, that is the point. The only front bumper that matches the rear bumperettes is HQ. Holden changed the front bars on the subsequent models even though the styling doesn't match.
It would be like fitting HQ Station Wagon rear bar on on a HZ sedan, it just isn't right in styling (although still better then HQ Bumperettes on a HJ-WB).

Correct, it is a HZ SL/E facia.
HQ-WB bumperettes are all the same as the beavers are the same width on all of them. HJ-HZ sedan/wagon bars will never fit or look right, unless they are modified and re-chromed. HQ wagon fit best as a standard bar.
There is far more wrong with mine than just bumperettes missing, haha. You've done well Blocker to make it look so good in that photo.

Not too worried about right or wrong! Just the look of the rear bars! Speaking of wrong anyone spot what is wrong on the HX LE dash?
Dont know about the dash but it has a hz grill on it not hx
I believe this particular car always had that style grille - "prototype" HZ grille maybe?
btw, this car has the nice-looking 'snowflake' style wheels that didn't make it to the production LEs :(
